Cornerstone Fifth Graders Create BookSnaps

This morning in the AT&T Classroom the fifth graders created BookSnaps for the novel they are reading, A Night Divided. A BookSnap is a digital, visual representation used to annotate and share reflections of an excerpt from a book or other text.  Creating a BookSnap promotes students’ reading comprehension skills and creativity by providing opportunities for students to draw connections from text based on what is meaningful and relevant to them and then create a product that is truly unique.
This morning the fifth graders used their Chromebook camera to capture an image of a page from their novel and then pulled the image into Google Slides to add annotations and emojis to create their BookSnap.
