What an awesome day in the AT&T Classroom! RCET kicked-off the 2018 summer camps today with FLASHanthropy & STEAM: Hands of Gratitude Maker Camp. Hands of Gratitude is a nonprofit that provides 3D printed prosthetic hands to those in need. This morning the campers were introduced to the nonprofit and learned about some of the children who are on a waiting to receive a donated prosthetic hand. After meeting one another and playing an icebreaker game, the campers worked in teams to assemble 3D prosthetic hands that will be donated to a child on the waiting list. Campers also decorated cases for the prosthetic hands and wrote notes to introduce themselves to the prosthetic hand recipient. Additionally, each team created a short video message for the recipient to introduce themselves.
