Campers Explore Robotics & Programming with LEGO WeDo 2.0

This morning in the AT&T Classroom, campers were introduced to LEGO WeDo 2.0 -  a curriculum and software platform designed to engage learners with STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The LEGO WeDo 2.0 system utilizes traditional LEGO bricks in combination with a 2.0 Smarthub and wireless Bluetooth technology so that learners are able to program and control their LEGO models to have movement, sound, and light effects. This morning the campers were introduced to the LEGO WeDo 2.0 system including the Smarthub and important kit elements such as a motion sensor, tilt sensor and a motor. The campers were also introduced to the software’s block-based programming language and then progressed through a series of initial projects that provided experience in programming simple builds.
Campers were excited to share their initial projects.
