Kent State CDC Kindergartners Program Ozobot Bits

We are so happy to welcome a new group of CDC kindergartners to our AT&T Classroom. Over the next week the kindergartners will be exploring tools for coding, programming and design. This afternoon the kindergartners were introduced to coding using Ozobot “Smart” toy robots.  The Ozobot device has sensors that recognize color sequences (also known as “OzoCodes”) and interprets the sequences as commands for directing speed and movement. The device can be programmed to follow black, red, blue, and green lines/paths which control the Ozobot’s movement and speed in different directions. Today the kindergartners began working with combinations of various color sequences to create their own OzoCodes to alter their Ozobot’s direction and speed.
