This morning in the AT&T Classroom the West Main second graders were very excited to Skype with a second grade class in Michigan to play Mystery Number Skype. Through a Skype video call, the two classes were able to take turns asking yes/no questions to apply what they have learned about place value, odd/even, higher/lower to guess the other class’s Mystery Number.
During their Math on Laptops small group rotation the second graders played Battleship Number Line to work on addition operations. Battleship Number Line is a free game accessible at Brain POP, a web platform that offers animated video content, games and assessments related to a variety of curricular topics.
