Campers Bring LEGO Models Alive with Motors & Sensors

This morning in RCET’s AT&T Classroom, campers designed and programmed their own original models using elements from LEGO WeDo 2.0 -  a curriculum and software platform designed to engage learners with STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The LEGO WeDo 2.0 system includes traditional LEGO bricks in combination with a 2.0 Smart hub and wireless Bluetooth technology so that learners are able to program and control their LEGO models to have movement, sound, and light effects. The campers programmed their models using the  LEGO WeDo 2.0 software which utilizes a block-based programming language.

Campers worked with the software on iPads but the software is also compatible with Chromebooks, Android tablets, and Windows and Mac laptops.
