RCET Campers Create LEGO Stop Motion Videos
In today’s LEGO WeDo Robotics camp, the campers were introduced to stop motion animation. Each camper created their own movie about one of their LEGO models using the iOS app LEGO Movie Maker. The campers each captured 100+ photos of their LEGO model using the iPad camera and then inserted the photos into the LEGO Movie Maker app which allowed them to add text, sound effects and music to create their own LEGO stop motion movie. Today gave the campers an opportunity to explore the features of the app and develop expertise with video capture and editing using one of the LEGO project models they created earlier in the camp. Tomorrow the campers will create and program their own original LEGO model accompanied by a stop motion animation of the model in action.
