It’s been an exciting two days in the AT&T Classroom as RCET collaborated with our College of Education, Health, & Human Services Office of Diversity, Outreach & Development to host students from James Ford Rhodes High School (Cleveland Metropolitan School District). The students have been on the Kent State campus participating in a two-day institute designed to expose them to the college environment. Across the two days the students had the opportunity to learn about the college admissions process, interact with panels of current Kent State students and explore the undeniably beautiful Kent State campus and all the university has to offer. The students also spent part of each day in the AT&T Classroom where they were introduced to digital tools to use for a persuasive argument project. Project tools included Adobe Slate, Buncee, Google Slides and Haiku Deck. The students worked in collaborative groups to design their presentations and had an opportunity to present their awesome projects at the end of the second day.
