Second Graders Use Adobe Voice to Draft Legends

The West Main second graders are using Adobe Voice to create their own digital stories about legends.  Adobe Voice is a free iPad app that allows you to record your voice, import pictures, and write text to create a short story in the form of a video. The app provides access to a gallery of more than 25,000 images, icons, and music tracks that can be added to a story project. This morning after each student created an initial draft of their legend, they came back together as a class to do peer reviews of one another’s drafts. The second graders will use today’s feedback to revise and complete their final stories on Friday. Providing opportunities for collaborative peer review helps students become active learners within the writing process, while also developing their critical-thinking and communication skills.
