Defer Intermediate Fifth Graders Present Science Popplets
This afternoon in the AT&T Classroom the Defer Intermediate students presented their finished Popplets to their classmates. The fifth graders had used Popplet to record and organize the notes they had taken while reading Super Cool Space Tools, an online science resource available from the NASA website. The students’ work was very impressive with regard to their recording and organization of the science content. The students were very proud of their work and enjoyed viewing their classmate’s projects as each Popplet was very unique based upon the student’s use of images and design features. In addition to providing an opportunity for students to learn from one another, this afternoon also provided an opportunity for students to practice their presentation skills and to also reflect upon their own work with regard to the content, the quality, and the tool/design work encompassed within the project.
