Defer Fifth Graders Use Popplet to Organize Science Facts & Notes

This afternoon in the AT&T Classroom Mrs. Spence introduced Popplet to the fifth graders. Popplet is a free web-based tool that can be used to create concept maps and diagrams. A concept map is a graphical diagram that provides a visual representation of the relationship between concepts. Teachers often use concept maps as a strategy to facilitate students’ critical thinking and their ability to identify and understand similarities and differences among key concepts.  This afternoon the fifth graders used Popplet to draft and organize the notes they recorded from reading  Super Cool Space Tools, an online science resource available from the NASA website.
