This morning during their math block in the AT&T Classroom, the students used Educreations as part of their work with coin values. Photos of varying coin groupings were taped around the AT&T Classroom and hallway. Students used the camera feature within Educreations to capture a photo of each coin group and then used the app’s writing tools to calculate and note the value on each photo for that group of coins. Educreations is a multiplatform tool that allows the computer or tablet to record the student’s voice and his/her writing and drawing which can be saved for playback. For this math project the students used Educreations on the iPads but because it is a web-based tool, Educreations can be used on desktops, laptops, and Chromebooks.
