The Rootstown second graders started their morning by putting the finishing touches on their writing projects. The project provided students with an opportunity to use digital tools to produce and publish writing and also provided opportunities for engaging students in the revising and editing process. On Monday the students had used the iPad camera to capture digital photos and then across the week have been using Haiku Deck to produce and publish the writing project. An important focus of the project has been on students’ use of adjectives. In today’s editing and revising session the second graders reviewed their projects to check for inclusion of descriptive word choices.
The completed projects were outstanding and students were so proud of their work as they presented to their classmates.
