Fifth Graders Create Vocabulary Books with Haiku Deck
As part of their social studies unit on civilizations, the Lakeview fifth graders are creating vocabulary books using Haiku Deck, a free presentation application for PCs and iPads. The tool’s interface allows students to select themes, backgrounds and add text in various fonts. The tool provides access to a wide selection of photographs or original photos can be uploaded from the iPad camera roll or from Facebook, Flickr, Instagram or Picasa.
