Walls Third Graders Explore Digital Tools for Creativity, Design & Animation

This morning in the AT&T Classroom the Walls third graders continued creating projects with the Sock Puppets app and explored two new tools for creating animations, stories, and other digital media.

Educreations is a free multi-platform tool that allows the computer or tablet to record the student’s voice and his/her writing and drawing which can be saved for playback and/or shared online. Students are able to add images to their projects by drawing or inserting a photo taken from the Internet or captured with the device’s camera. Educreations can be used to create stories, animations, and presentations.

Pic Collage is a free app that can be used to create collages of photos taken with an iOS or Android device.  Students can create projects with their photos by adding stickers, backgrounds and text. Finished projects can be stored to the device’s photo library or shared through social media channels.
The app can be downloaded from Google Play and itunes.  Also available for free download from itunes is the Pic Collage for Kids  app designed specifically for elementary & middle school ages.
