This morning the Walls third graders continued their work on critical reading abilities and character trait analysis. Using the information that they had outlined in their Popplet concept maps, each student created a news story about their book character using the Telestory app. Telestory is designed to allow children to create and star in their own movie production. The app has several themed templates with scenes, cue cards, and sound effects. The third graders created cue cards regarding each of the story character’s main traits and included supporting evidence from their Popplet. Student then used the camera feature to insert themselves in the news broadcast.
