Campers Design Digital Media Projects with Tiny Tap, Drawing Pad HD & Halftone 2

Campers created their own digital games and puzzles today using Tiny Tap on the iPads. Tiny Tap is a multi-platform tool available for desktops as well as iOS and Android tablets. The  platform can be used to create interactive games, stories, puzzles, lessons and presentations.  Finished products can be uploaded to the Tiny Tap Market, App Store, Google Play and the Web to be shared and enjoyed by others. To create their games, the campers used the templates and stickers provided in the app and then added their own photos, Internet images, text, and audio voice-over to create each game slide.

Later in the session the campers created digital art using Drawing Pad HD on the iPads.  Drawing Pad HD is a free app that provides a mobile digital art studio for iOS devices. Children are able to use the app to create their own art using a magic glow brush, chalk, pencil, stickers and backgrounds.

The campers created digital comic books today using Halftone 2 on the iPads.  Halftone 2 is an app designed for creating comic and scrapbooks with photo images. The app offers several templates, comic grids, dialogue boxes and editing features that give projects a comic-like look.

Campers also explored some of the features of Windows Movie Maker, a free MicroSoft tool. The application offers several themes and tools for combining photos and video clips to create movies and slideshows.
