LEGO WeDo Robotics Camp Kicks-Off Today in the AT&T Classroom

This morning in the AT&T Classroom, RCET kicked-off the 2015 summer technology camps with the LEGO WeDo Robotics camp. The LEGO WeDo system combines traditional LEGO bricks with programming software to introduce the basic elements of coding to young children. Providing opportunities for children to learn coding and programming skills fosters children’s abilities for mathematical reasoning, critical thinking and problem solving.  Across the week the children will explore strategies for building and programming to create increasingly complex LEGO models. Today the campers reviewed physics concepts related to simple machines and were introduced to the LEGO WeDo system, the drag-and-drop software, and the various tools and pieces they will be using to create the project models.
