During their second session of Adventures in Coding the campers explored more advanced programming concepts with the Hopscotch app to add more complex rules and values to the coding sequence allowing them to create more involved animations and games.
Providing opportunities for children to learn programming and coding skills fosters their abilities for mathematical reasoning, critical thinking and problem solving. Additionally, Hopscotch is designed in such a way that it exposes children to fundamental programming logic while also incorporating important concepts related to geometry and design.
If your child has enjoyed working with Hopscotch and has access to an iPad, he/she can learn more about programming with Hopscotch on the Hopscotch blog.
