Riverview First Graders Use Digital Tools to Study Plants

This morning in the AT&T Classroom the Riverview first graders used a variety of tools to support their study of concepts related to plants. SMFCS Academic Technology Specialist Miss Fudale joined the class today and introduced the lesson with a video on plants from BrainPop, an online resource site that offers animated video content, games and assessments related to a variety of curricular topics. As a follow-up to the information presented in the video, the students worked with a Google template that prompted them to apply information they knew about plants and what plants need to survive. They also explored some of the extension games hosted on BrainPop to further investigate plant concepts and test their knowledge.
