Echo Hills Fourth Graders Study Triangles & Angles with Educreations

Today during their math lesson in the AT&T Classroom the Echo Hills fourth graders studied various types of triangles and angles. Mrs. DeLorenzo introduced the lesson with a review of the concepts using the Fact Monster website. The students then worked in pairs using straws and pipe cleaners to create various triangles and angles. The students used the Educreations app to create digital presentations explaining the triangles and angles. Educreations is a free app that allows the iPad to record the student’s voice and his/her writing and drawing which can be saved for playback and/or shared online. Students used the iPad camera feature to capture photos of their 2-dimensional shapes and then used the drawing and text features to add labels and drawings to explain the angles.
