This past week in the AT&T Classroom the Echo HIlls fourth graders have been using Google slides to create a digital media piece demonstrating their understanding of concepts related to energy.The slides include the students' narrative explanation as well as images to represent the concepts. The students have done a tremendous job of using text and images to demonstrate their understanding of the science concepts. The slides completed to date have also shown very effective selection and use of visual design features.
Opportunities to use these types of digital tools within the context of classroom assignments allows students to build the technology expertise that is necessary for living and working in a digital age. Further, such tools also increase students’ productivity and provide meaningful opportunities for students to use critical 21st century skills for collaboration, creativity, and communication.
