Today in the AT&T Classroom Campus Elementary second graders created digital trading cards using the Trading Card Creator app from ReadWriteThink.org. The students had recently finished reading the book Stone Fox. The students used the iPad camera function to capture images from the book to import into the Trading Card app and then used the app to create a trading card highlighting features of the story’s main character.
Trading Card Creator s a great tools for students to use to organize and share their research or understanding of a person, topic, or event. Teachers in the AT&T Classroom have used it in the past to create trading cards for historical figures and Famous Ohioans, fairy tale characters, vocabulary terms, etc. Trading Card Creator is a free tool accessible online at the ReadWriteThink website and also available at no cost as an app for both iPads and Androids.
