Today in the AT&T Classroom, Carlin first graders worked with the Kodable app to learn basic skills for coding. By playing with the app, the children were introduced to some of the basic terms and processes for writing a simple program to control the characters on the app and create movement and simple actions. In addition to learning the basics of coding, providing opportunities for children to learn coding skills also fosters children’s abilities for mathematical reasoning, critical thinking and problem solving.
