Fishcreek Third Graders Create Digital Stories with Adobe Voice

Fishcreek third graders have been using Adobe Voice in the AT&T Classroom to create digital stories. The third graders were given the writing prompt, “I remember…” to use as the springboard for their story and then drafted their narrative using google docs.  To create and format the story, the students used the Adobe Voice app on the ipads by entering the text from their narrative and then adding images, photos, icons and music from the app to create a short video. Adobe Voice can be downloaded at no cost from the Apps store.
Creating digital stories provides opportunities for children to use higher order thinking skills to organize and design the story elements and the traits of the characters. It also provides an opportunity for students to utilize auditory, verbal, visual, and kinesthetic modalities in combination to create a very personalized and meaningful product that reflects their learning.
