Science Journals with Google Slides

This week in the AT&T Classroom the Walls third graders created their own “Rock & Mineral Journals”. The journals are in digital form and will be used by the students to store all of their research, projects, photos, artifacts etc. across the  science unit. The students used Google Slides to format their journals. They first created a cover for their journal by selecting one of the templates in Google slides and then customizing it by changing the font, text color, etc. The students have added additional slides to their journal, with each slide representing a new journal entry. The students are able to import images into the slides to create a journal entry for each type of rock they have studied.
As one of the apps in Google drive, the students are able to store all of the artifacts that they are using within the rocks & minerals unit and are able to access their journals from any device with a web browser.
