Second Graders Explore Padlet Features for Collaborative Writing

The second graders have been using Padlet in the AT&T Classroom for a collaborative writing space. Each morning Miss West has been posting a writing prompt on the Padlet wall and each student drafts a post for the wall in reply to the prompt. This morning Miss West posted the following question prompt on the Padlet wall: What is your favorite animal? Type the name and link a photo of that animal.  Padlet offers features for users to be able to click within the tool to search online for an image or video to add to a post. This morning Miss West demonstrated to the students how to do an image search within Padlet, select and copy and image from the Internet and then paste the image into their post. 
Students enjoyed reading one another’s post to learn about their classmates’ favorite animals and view the photos.
